About Us

Planerio was founded in 2016 by Prof. Dr. Wieland Sommer, Dr. Stefan Klußmann, and Robert Grüter. Since then, Planerio has become the leading shift planning software, now used at sites across the EU; see also the Workforce Management Overview. Our dedicated team of over 100 employees is constantly working to further develop our solution, supported by the use of artificial intelligence.

Planerio has thus established itself as a comprehensive operating system for workforce management in the healthcare sector and all other industries with complex requirements. Our goal is to reduce administrative workload while increasing efficiency and satisfaction within the teams.

DR. STEFAN KLUßMANN
Dr. Stefan Klußmann is a co-founder, managing director, and chief executive officer at Planerio. With a Ph.D. in neurobiology, he worked for six years as a consultant and project manager at McKinsey, where he primarily advised companies in the healthcare sector on a variety of topics, particularly process optimization.

PROF. DR. WIELAND SOMMER
Prof. Dr. Wieland Sommer came up with the idea for Planerio while he was in charge of shift planning at Großhadern Hospital and founded Planerio together with Dr. Stefan Klußmann and Robert Grüter. Wieland Sommer is a professor of radiology and holds a Master of Public Health from Harvard.
